About the Artist’s Mother

The artist’s mother, Adeline Brady Turner, is the source of Pamela’s artistic inspiration. The two painted regularly in their home studio throughout Pamela’s youth. Adeline was a celebrated artist who trained in Heidelberg, Germany under German Expressionist Artists and her work reflects the school of German romanticism painting as well as more modern, atmospheric landscapeworks.

Following Adeline’s 2011 death, Pamela’s husband, Tarek, eulogized Adeline by saying , in part, “Adeline bloomed like a hohouse flower.” She was vibrant beyond description, brightened every room she entered, and talented beyond compare. As a tribute to her mother and her enormous influence on Pamela’s work, Pamela signs each piece with a signature that combines her onw initials with her mother’s initials (ptaabt}.
